A journey to the Sahara through Morocco — walking, the ocean and silence. Conscious travel in a small group, in a rhythm of presence and simplicity.
I came to the Sahara for my 40th birthday. It was meant to be a gift and a great adventure. When I reached M'hamid, it soon turned out that this place was — in a way I could not explain — familiar.
The adventure became a journey. A journey into myself.
When I set out into the desert, time stopped existing. I felt I had come home. I was going through an inner change. A beautiful, subtle change, surrounded by the desert sands.
Sitting on the shore of the ocean, I thought: I want to keep coming back here — and to invite others on this road.
In the unchanging landscape, everything changes. In its quiet constancy, everything dissolves and transforms before your eyes.
4 nights in the wild desert — tents, a caravan with guides and a cook. Fresh bread baked in hot sand, tajine over the fire.
A breath session in the desert — with movement, music and a journey inward. An intention for the journey that grows stronger as the road goes on.
Sidi Naji, Erg Zahar National Park, the highest dunes in the region and wide horizons — places that do not rush you.
A 4×4 jeep across the Sahara, a night at the Erg Chegaga camp with a view of the dunes, dinner by the fire, drums and desert blues.
Practising the Wave of Breath, meditation in rhythmic walking, meeting silence — the desert as a space of presence.
The journey ends by the Atlantic in Taghazout — a picturesque surfing village. Ocean waves after the wave of the desert.
During the trip you will be guided towards conscious experience. We will focus on what enriches reality through mindfulness and contact with what is here and now.
You will feel the support that comes from connecting with your breath and body, from meditation, from conscious communication — and from dancing in the middle of the desert.
Each day has its own character and its own place on the route — from Marrakech, through M'hamid and the Sahara dunes, to the Atlantic in Taghazout.
Arrival in Marrakech, transfer across the Atlas Mountains to Chraika Desert Camp in M'hamid. Almost 600 km through Morocco's changing landscapes — from the mountains to the desert lands of the south.
A day at the camp. Acclimatisation, getting to know the area around M'hamid and tuning in to the energy of the place. DMCO Breath Ceremony with an intention for the journey.
A trek of about 14 km, usually 4–5 hours of walking. A visit to the ruins of the ancient town of Sidi Naji and its marabout. A night in tents among small wild dunes with tamarisk trees.
A shorter distance — about 2 hours of walking. After lunch, practice and meditation in rhythmic walking. Arrival at the Zmyla dunes, dinner by the fire and a night in the desert.
Trekking across the highest dunes in the region. Sunset on top of the dunes after a climb of about 40 minutes. Camp at the foot of the dunes, bread baked in hot sand and tajine over the campfire.
Farewell to the guides and the dromedaries. A 4×4 jeep to Erg Chegaga — walking on the dunes, sandboarding or rest. An evening by the fire and a night at a camp with beds and a hot shower.
A jeep ride across the desert: caravans, oases, wells and nomads. The route goes through Foum Zguid — the gate of the desert — then by taxi to a hotel in Taroudant, a former capital of Morocco, and rest after the desert part.
Breakfast at the hotel and a transfer to the picturesque surfing village of Taghazout on the Atlantic. Afternoon and evening by the ocean.
Morning in Taghazout. Check-out, transfer to Agadir airport and departure.
A journey and a retreat in the desert, during which you will discover the beauty of the Moroccan land — from the Sahara desert to the landscape of a picturesque ocean coast. The trip is planned so that you can consciously experience the variety of places, people and yourself — in the rhythm of a retreat, away from the rush.

This journey is not about following a programme step by step, but about setting out on a road where the desert, the walking and the ocean can resonate with full strength and simplicity.
Each edition follows the same road: the Sahara, walking, the ocean and a small group. Below you will find the dates.
No. Openness matters more: to a simpler rhythm, to presence and to the road in a small group. The breath and meditation practices during the journey are led in a natural, accessible way.
